Meat Institute Launches Enhanced Dashboards for Participating Companies Following Annual Data Reporting Cycle
ARLINGTON, VA — The Meat Institute has completed its annual data reporting for 2025 and is launching enhanced benchmarking dashboards for participating companies, providing members with new tools to better understand performance, identify trends, and put their data to work.
“Industry reporting is one of the ways our members help tell the story of the meat industry and earn greater trust through transparency,” said Eric Mittenthal, chief strategy officer. “The data and information shared by member companies is critical in advocating for the entire industry. Cohesive, industry-wide data is needed to demonstrate progress, address misconceptions, and support policy development.
The dashboards bring a new dimension of analysis and action. Participating companies can view performance at both the company and establishment levels, in addition to industry-wide aggregate data, providing a more complete picture of operations and progress across their enterprise or region. New trend analysis allows companies to track progress over time, while customized reports and raw data exports can be tailored to specific facilities, customers and stakeholder needs.
The industry-wide data for 2025 is captured in the 2026 Protein PACT Continuous Improvement report.
Participation in industry reporting gives the Meat Institute credible data to ensure policy decisions are informed with facts rather than assumptions. Aggregated industry data helps demonstrate where progress is being made, highlight challenges facing meat processors and producers, and provide policymakers and other stakeholders with a clearer understanding of industry practices and realities.
Benchmarking displayed within the dashboards is aggregated and subject to safeguards designed to prevent identification of individual companies or facilities.
The enhanced dashboards offer flexibility in how organizations use and communicate their sustainability and performance data.
The rollout of the enhanced dashboards represents the next step in the Meat Institute’s ongoing effort to provide companies participating in Meat Institute reporting with meaningful insights from the data they contribute.
